Lions and tigers and SNAKES oh my

Thad was invited to a snake party at his friend's house. The snake man brought a ton of snakes for us to hold. Thad and Avery loved it. Thisssss little fella was rescued after hurricane Katrina he weighs about 30 pounds.

All Stars

Thad was selected to be on the 9 year old all star team. He has been having a lot of fun and playing baseball non-stop.

Braxton is 12!!!!!!

Can you believe it my little guy is twelve now! He had a great birthday. Him and his friend went to play mini golf, ride bumper boats, have a water war and eat cake!

Pinewood Derby!

So at church we had a pinewood derby for anyone. No rules! I was asked to build a car for the woman's organization. They told me they wanted it girly. Here she is! This is before we put the wheels on her. I thought she wouldn't be very fast after all pumps are not usually designed for speed. Much to everyone's surprise she took 2nd place!

Track meet

Thad went to the Pearland district track meet for the softball throw. He got fourth in the district. This is his second year to represent his elementary school in the meet.

Baritone

Brax started the school year playing the trumpet in his 6th grade band. In March his band teacher suggested that he try a new instrument. He tried out the baritone and it seemed to be a perfect match! He had to learn a couple of new skills but caught on very quickly! He just found out that he made the honors band for 7th grade playing the euphonium. (It is similar to the baritone only it has 4 valves instead of 3) He is the only 7th grader who was selected for honors band for this instrument! GO BRAX!!!!!

Austin

Braxton had the opportunity with school to go to Austin for the future problem solvers state bowl. He had a great time. This is him with some of his friends at the mixer they had for the kids the night of the competition.

While Braxton was at the competition we went to the Texas history museum. we had a good time and learned a lot.

Pick Your Nose

So we went over to the Bakers' house for pizza night and she had these cups, on the package it said pick your nose and it had a variety of different noses to choose from. Here are Braxton and Avery with their picks. Thad's photo did not turn out. It is always fun at the Bakers'!!!!!!

Bows

I have been on a bow making kick. I made one pair and just could not stop. I got an order for a pair at Thad's game last night. Back to the glue gun! Fun, Fun, Fun!

Our Little Friend

The other day the kids came in the house and said that we had a tree frog on the front door. Living in Texas we are not strangers to many odd, slimy and sometime large critters visiting our home. This little guy was just curled up under the wreath on my front door.

Saturday was such a beautiful day. We all worked outside to spruce up the yard. Here is the garden crew! Todd said this year he has the soil just right and he feels good about our vegetable season to come! We shall see!!!!

The other day Avery came down stairs in her pirate gear. So here we all are. You will now see a new flag flying at the Horman's house.

Birthday Boy!

On Feb. 27 th my little Theodore turned NINE! Todd, Avery, and I went to the school and had lunch with him. That night after baseball practice we took him and his friend Travis to main event. They bowled and played laser tag! He had a blast!
